PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION

(Notice Date: February 17, 2009)

 

The Tri-State Airport Authority intends to file an application with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for authority to impose and use a Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, West Virginia, hereinafter “the Airport”.  This Passenger Facility Charge will be $3.00 per passenger.

 

The proposed PFC #6 will take effect on or before July 1, 2009 and tentatively expire on or around December 31, 2014.  Total funds to be collected under said PFC are $1,112,456.

 

The funds collected for the proposed PFC will fund a variety of projects at the Airport.  These projects include:

 

  1. Acquire Friction Measuring Equipment
  2. Acquisition of Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Rescue (ARFF) Vehicle One
  3. Taxiway A Construction/Relocation
  4. Rehabilitate ARFF Building and Water System
  5. Rehabilitate Airport Entrance Road
  6. Terminal Rehabilitation and Loading Bridge
  7. Airport Entrance Road Slope Repair
  8. Preparation of PFC Application No. 6
  9. Acquisition of Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Rescue (ARFF) Vehicle Two
  10. Beacon Relocation
  11. Main Apron Rehabilitation
  12. Runway Safety Area Project

 

Comments on the proposed PFC Application, including agreement or disagreement, should be directed to Jerry Brienza, Airport Manager, Huntington Tri-State Airport, 1449 Airport Road, Huntington, WV 25704-9043.  All comments should be received no later than thirty (30) days from the date of this notice.
