PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION
(Notice Date: February 17, 2009)
The Tri-State Airport Authority intends to file an application with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for authority to impose and use a Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, West Virginia, hereinafter “the Airport”. This Passenger Facility Charge will be $3.00 per passenger.
The proposed PFC #6 will take effect on or before July 1, 2009 and tentatively expire on or around December 31, 2014. Total funds to be collected under said PFC are $1,112,456.
The funds collected for the proposed PFC will fund a variety of projects at the Airport. These projects include:
- Acquire Friction Measuring Equipment
- Acquisition of Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Rescue (ARFF) Vehicle One
- Taxiway A Construction/Relocation
- Rehabilitate ARFF Building and Water System
- Rehabilitate Airport Entrance Road
- Terminal Rehabilitation and Loading Bridge
- Airport Entrance Road Slope Repair
- Preparation of PFC Application No. 6
- Acquisition of Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Rescue (ARFF) Vehicle Two
- Beacon Relocation
- Main Apron Rehabilitation
- Runway Safety Area Project

All comments should be received no later than thirty (30) days from the date of this notice.
