Huntington Tri-State Airport Announces New Airport Director
Huntington, WV (November 6, 2008) – Tri-State Airport Authority announced today that Jerry Brienza has been selected as Airport Director, replacing retiring Airport Director of twenty-six years, Larry G. Salyers. Mr. Brienza will join Tri-State Airport on December 1, 2008.
Following a nationwide search to fill the position, Mr. Brienza was chosen unanimously by the Airport Authority from a field of over thirty applicants. He is currently the Director of Aviation at Pueblo Memorial Airport in Pueblo, CO, where he has worked since 2002. A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Mr. Brienza began his career in aviation at Westchester County Airport in White Plains, NY, and later worked at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport.
Mr. Brienza will be publically introduced to the community during a press conference, which will be scheduled in early December.
