HTS Celebrates Anniversary of Nonstop Orlando Service

TRI-STATE CELEBRATES ONE YEAR OF FUN IN THE SUN

 

(Huntington, W.V.) --Low-cost airline, Allegiant Air, celebrates the one-year anniversary of nonstop, jet-service to the fun n’ sun of Orlando, Fla. from Huntington, W.V.  The Las Vegas-based airline inaugurated service from Tri-State Airport to Orlando Sanford International Airport Nov. 3, 2006.

 “We are pleased to celebrate our one-year anniversary of nonstop service to Orlando,” said Maurice J. Gallagher, the airline’s president and CEO.  “We look forward to a continued successful relationship between Allegiant, Tri-State Airport, the local communities, travel agents and all of our customers.”

 Allegiant Air will complete its first year of service achieving several milestones.  Since Nov. 3, 2006, Allegiant has carried nearly 33,000 customers to and from Orlando.  Since initiating service, Allegiant has lowered the average fare paid by Tri-State area customers more than 45 percent.  The low-cost airline has saved customers more than $2.5 million by bringing everyday low-fares to the Huntington community.  The carrier will inaugurate nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale Nov. 16.

Allegiant has brought nonstop 150 seat jet, low fare, superior service to the greater Tri-State Area, and the community has responded with its support which has restored life into the airport. We look forward to the start dates for Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa service; mere words cannot express our sincere appreciation to Allegiant Air the best thing that has happened here for many years.”

 Allegiant Vacations division of the company will offer low-cost packages with 58 of Orlando and Daytona Beach’s most exciting hotel properties. Partner properties include The Swan, The Dolphin, The Hilton in Lake Buena Vista and the Radisson Parkway. Low-cost packages are available to include hotel, car and amusement park tickets for additional savings.
