Tri-State Airport Announces
Non-Stop Atlanta Service
Huntington, WV---- Tri-State Airport officials confirmed Monday that Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), a regional carrier for Delta Air Lines, will begin non-stop flights between Huntington and Atlanta, GA on June 7.
The daily flight from Huntington is scheduled to depart at 2:18 p.m. and arrive in Atlanta at 3:43 p.m. The flight from Atlanta will depart at 12:33 p.m. and arrive in Huntington at 1:53 p.m. All flights will be aboard the passenger-friendly 40-seat Canadair regional jet, which is the same type of aircraft currenlty servicing the Huntington / Cincinnati route.
“We’re just thrilled to see the return of the Atlanta service and view it as a great opportunity for our area travelers to have additional access to the west, as well as better connections to international destinations,” said Larry Salyers, Airport Director.
“The Tri-State Airport Authority is extremely pleased that Delta Air Lines is providing Atlanta service once again,” said Airport Authority President Jim Booton. “We’ve been pushing for this for a long time. This additional service will provide business and leisure travelers with vast connections worldwide,” he added.
The Atlanta service will give Tri-State Airport four destinations; marking the first time for four destinations since 1994. The airport also offers non-stop jet service to Cincinnati, (provided by Delta Connection), non-stop jet service to Orlando (provided by Allegiant Air) and non-stop service to Charlotte (provided by US Airways Express).
