Airport to Host Allegiant Air Inaugural Flight Celebration

Tri-State Airpot Authority will hold a press conference and ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, November 3 in the Main Terminal to celebrate the inaugural flight of Allegiant Air’s new non-stop service to Orlando.  U.S. Senator John D. Rockefeller IV will be the honored guest speaker.  The  ceremony  will be followed by a reception.

 

Allegiant Air  is an all-jet, low-fare, low-cost passenger airline dedicated to providing a new way to fly. At Allegiant, all travel is ticketless, all fares are one-way and a Saturday night stay is never required.

 

“Allegiant Air is a great addition to Tri-State Airport and to this area ,” said Airport Authority President Jim Booton.  “We hope everyone in the community will come out and help us celebrate Allegiant’s inaugural flight.”  Orlando is this airport’s number one destination and we are thrilled that Allegiant Air has recognized our market’s potential,” continued Booton.

 

The first Allegiant Air flight is scheduled to depart from Huntington at 12:10 p.m arriving in Orlando Sanford International Airport at 2:00 p.m.  The new flights will operate twice weekly, with service Tuesday and Friday.  Flights leaving Orlando will depart at 9:45 a.m. arriving in Huntington at 11:35 a.m.

The Allegiant Vacations division of the company will offer low-cost packages with 21 of Orlando's most exciting hotel properties and three in Daytona Beach. Partner properties include The Swan, The Dolphin, The Hilton in Lake Buena Vista and the Radisson Parkway. Low-cost packages are available to include hotel, car and amusement park tickets for additional savings.
