July 25, 2006 Contact:                               Beckie McKinley                                 Marketing Director                                 Tri-State Airport Authority                                 304-453-6165  ext. 15                                 bmckinley@tristateairport.com           MEDIA ADVISORY   TRI-STATE AIRPORT TO RELEASE RESULTS OF AIRPORT ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY     What:                    PRESS CONFERENCE     When:                  Monday, July 31, 2006                                 11:30 a.m.   Where:             Dogwood Room                                 Big Sandy Superstore Arena                                 Third Avenue, Huntington   Tri-State Airport is a key component of the region’s transportation system and an important asset in the economic vitality and future development of the Tri-State area.   As part of the efforts to examine the economic role of the Tri-State Airport, the Airport Authority recently commissioned an economic impact assessment through the Marshall University Center for Business and Economic Research.  The objective of the study was to quantify the employment, income and economic activity contributions of aviation by evaluating the airport and related businesses.   The findings of the study will be released by a representative from the Center for Business and Economic Research to the Media on Monday, July 31st at 11:30 a.m.  Copies of the study will be made available to the press at that time.
