Nearly $1.5 million for the Tri-State Airport Authority
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that the Tri-State Airport Authority has received a nearly $1.5 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration for improvements to the Huntington Tri-State Airport.
The $1,433,899 grant will be used to improve the airport access road, rehabilitate the taxiway, and to rehabilitate the airport terminal.
“The Huntington Tri-State Airport connects us to communities across West Virginia and surrounding states. This grant will help the airport improve its roads, taxiways and terminal, which will make the airport more welcoming and efficient. Our transportation infrastructure is the key to growing and attracting jobs to our region, and I am working every day to secure the funding needed to improve our economy and enhance our quality of life,” Rep. Jenkins said.
