Allegiant Resumes Fort Myers/Punta Gorda Flights
HUNTINGTON, WV – Huntington Tri-State Airport is pleased to announce the return of summer service to Southwest Florida via the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), on Thursday, May 18th.
The nonstop flights, provided by Allegiant Airlines, will operate twice weekly, with service on Thursdays and Sundays. The first flight on Thursday will arrive in Huntington from Punta Gorda at 7:59pm and depart at 8:44pm.
Airport Director Jerry Brienza said the service has been extremely popular since Allegiant initiated the route in late 2014. “The southwest coast of Florida is a beautiful destination for a family or romantic getaway, and is one of the top favorites for travelers in the tri-state area,” said Brienza. “As usual, Allegiant is offering very affordable fares, so we expect another great season.”
The Punta Gorda flight provides travelers with easy access to the Southwest Florida Gulf Coast, including other popular destinations such as Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples, Marco Island, and Sanibel Island.

In addition to the Punta Gorda service, Allegiant provides non-stop, low fare service from Huntington to Orlando-Sanford, FL; Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL; and Myrtle Beach, SC. Tri-State Airport is also served by American Airlines, offering three daily non-stop flights to their connecting hub in Charlotte, NC.
