CLASS TITLE: Customer Service-Ground Operations ( Cross Utilized )  ALLEGIANT AIR Agent- Three part-time positions available

DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT:

This position is responsible for providing customer service to all customers, including scheduled or charter services.  Responsibilities will also include ground operations, aircraft cleaning, security, operations and commissary duties as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The ideal candidate must be people oriented, highly motivated with a positive and friendly attitude.
Process tickets, check baggage, monitor carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assign seats.
Provide information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements.
Handle denied boarding situations, solicit volunteers, reaccommodate customers and provide hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate.
Ensure FAA, Allegiant Air and airport regulations are followed.
Enforce safety/security measures and monitors safety sensitive zones.
Assist Customers with special needs, i.e., Customers who need assistance in boarding.
Load and unload baggage and co-mail of various weight and dimensions to and from aircraft and applicable airport baggage areas.
Marshal in the planes and push back the aircraft.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be well groomed and adhere to dress code policy.
Work in extreme outdoor conditions.
Ability to push/pull/lift 70 lbs on a continuous basis.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
Coordinate, provide training and ensure training requirements are met for all employees, i.e., new hire, recurrent, supplemental and local training issues.
Must be available to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays and must be able to stay late for irregular operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986.
Able to attend required training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Basic computer skills.  Knowledge of general office equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to carry 70 pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70 pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet; must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time.  Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF WORK: Airport environment: indoor and outdoor. Extreme outdoor conditions where extreme temperature ranges may be encountered. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

 

 

 

Airport Maintenance Worker I $10.00/hr (Full-time)

This position requires some technical knowledge in electrical, carpentry and mechanics.  Performs various semi-skilled airport maintenance tasks as directed.   Individual will assist with pavement, landscape and buildings maintenance.  Will assist with snow removal operations.  Performs various maintenance duties as assigned by Supervisor.  Individual is required to be on-call 24 hrs day/7 days a week for emergencies.  Must have the ability to respond with short notice.  Individual will be required to work during an airport emergency.  Individual will be exposed to outdoor conditions including, but not limited to, inclement weather, noise, fumes and chemicals.  Experience in electrical, plumbing, or carpentry is a plus.   Must be able to use hand tools and ride-on equipment.  Must have some knowledge of methods, policies and procedures of ground and building maintenance.   Individual must have proficient oral and written communication skills.  Any combination of training, education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED.  Completion of trade/vocational school training in any areas of maintenance is a plus.  Employment is contingent upon completion of a federal 10-year background investigation and/or a background investigation by any law enforcement agency.  Employee must have a valid driver’s license.

CLASS TITLE: Airport Landside Officer $9.00/hr Part-time

DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT:This individual is a uniformed, non-sworn para-police class responsible for a broad range of activities in support of the delivery of law enforcement services; duties may include both field and office assignments.  The work is performed under the general supervision of the chief of police, or his/her designee. Perform a number of tasks relating to parking lot, and parking violations; does related work as required, or as directed by the chief of police, the airport director or his/her designee.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:An employee in this class works under general supervision of the Chief of Police or his/her designee. This is repetitive work requiring efficient performance of public safety duties.

Duties may include handling all sales; Completion of all necessary reports; Accountability of cash drawer; Keeping parking lot building and area clean at all times; Requesting and replenishing supplies; Conducting parking lot check and car count as needed; Monitoring automated parking equipment, parking lot, all airport property parking areas, and gates as well as does minor repairs and time changes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of, or ability to learn, regulations and restrictions pertaining to parking on Tri State Airport Authority property.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, laws and ordinances relating to West Virginia Code related to parking of vehicles. 
Must display average social and general intelligence.Knowledge of functions, procedures, and policies of airport/department, ability to carry-out established regulations; capability of a high degree of accuracy in making charges and change; tact and courtesy; dependability; integrity; good physical condition.

Physical Ability:  Sedentary to Light work.  Ability to lift ten (10) pounds often and twenty-five (25) pounds occasionally. Ability to walk and be on foot approximately fifty percent (50%) of the time in all weather conditions; ability to stand in the street and direct traffic; ability to write reports when necessary.  Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time, and to get up and down to assist the public; ability to reach in and out of file cabinets.
Visual Ability:  Ability to read and write reports; to drive a vehicle while observing for parking violations; to input computer information; must be able to stand for long periods of time and direct vehicular traffic.  Ability to operate standard office equipment, i. e., fax machine, copier, typewriter, and computer. 
Hearing Ability: Ability to hear and communicate with the public in person or telephonically; to hear the police radio or the telephone; to hear comments from the public; ability to hear officers’ requests for copies of reports.
Speaking Ability:  Ability to speak to the public; to speak over the telephone and the police radio.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Instructions:  Instructions are somewhat general; many aspects of the work are covered specifically, but also use some judgment.

Processes:  Job requires occasionally considering different courses of action to get the job done.

Supervision/Review of Work:  Supervisor reviews most or all completed work.

Analytical Requirements:  Assignments frequently involve decisions based on a wide knowledge of many factors where application of advanced or technical concepts are predominantly required.

Tools, Equipment & Vehicles Used:   A standard vehicle; computer; police radio; fax machine, copier, typewriter, and other office equipment as required. 

Confidential Information:  Regular use of confidential information is a job requirement.

Mental Effort:  Heavy.

Interruptions:  Constant.

Contacts (Public & Internal):  Frequent public and internal contacts requiring tact and diplomacy.

Availability:  May perform on call duties.

Drug and Alcohol Testing Requirements:  Must participate in drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous parking attendant experience preferred.  This position requires a dipoloma/GED.  Candidate must possess combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge and

abilities.

 

 

Part time Midnight/PRN housekeeping position. Must be able to work midnights and weekends. Must be able to lift 70 pounds and stand on feet for long periods of time.  General housekeeping experience preferred. High School diploma is required. Starting pay $9.00/hr.
