EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE COMPLETION OF A FEDERALLY APPROVED 10-YEAR BACKGROUND/FINGERPRINT INVESTIGATION AND INDIVIDUAL MUST SUBMIT TO DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING IN ACCORDANCE WITH AIRPORT PRACTICES. 

FOR ALL POSITIONS LISTED:  CANDIDATES MUST BE MINIMUM OF 18 YRS. OF AGE, POSSESS VALID DRIVERS LICENSE; AND A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT 

Airport Police Officer/Part-Time.  Pay is commensurate with experience.This a sworn peace officer, authorized to carry a firearm that enforces Federal and State Laws, security, traffic, and safety rules and regulations. Individual must possess a high school diploma or above. Must be 18 years of age; and must be certified through the West Virginia State Police Academy.  Police Officer will engage in law enforcement activities including foot and vehicle patrol. Performs law enforcement, security, and safety duties in support of the Huntington Tri-State Airport. Monitor and disseminate relevant threat information, law enforcement data, and other intelligence. Must be able to provide information services to Airport tenants and the traveling public while providing law enforcement support to airline passenger screening program and oversees air carrier compliance in accordance with FAA regulations. 

Customer Service Rep. (CSR) / Part-Time (up to 29 hrs. per week). $9.00 starting pay.  The ideal candidate must be dependable yet available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.  This position requires the individual to work with a minimum of supervision while possessing a high degree of professionalism and time management skills.  Candidate must be able to multi-task while having the ability to accurately compile data while paying attention to detail.  Knowledge of QuickBooks helpful, previous cash handling and credit card experience required.  

Airport Landside Officer (ALO).  Part-time position (up to 29 hrs. per week) $9.00 / hr.   The ideal candidate must be people oriented, highly motivated with a positive friendly attitude.  Must be available to work varied hours including nights, weekends, holidays and must stay late for irregular operations.  Candidate must be able to work in inclement weather, including rain, heat and snow.  Must be able perform basic math; previous cash handing and credit card experience required.  Previous parking lot experience helpful.  Duties include but not limited to directing traffic, issuing parking violations as needed.  Candidate will conduct required parking lot check and car count; and monitoring automated parking equipment.    

Allegiant Air - Customer Service-Ground Operations Agent (GSA).  Part-time position (up to 29 hrs. per week) $9.00 / hr.  This position is responsible for providing customer service to Allegiant Air customers.  The ideal candidate must be people oriented, highly motivated with a positive friendly attitude.  Candidate must be computer literate and be able to lift/push/pull 70lbs. on a continuous basis.  Must be able to load and unload aircraft.  Must be available to work varied hours including nights, weekends, holidays and must stay late for irregular operations.  Candidate must be able to work in inclement weather, extreme heat and rain and snow.  

Airport Maintenance Helper II/Carpenter – Full-time position:  pay $10.50-$11.50/hr.  Health benefits/Vacation available.  The individual must be knowledgeable in all areas of carpentry, experience in pavement maintenance is a plus.  Candidate must be able to operate hand tools and ride-on equipment as well as have the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.  Candidate will assist with mowing and snow removal operations.  Candidate must be available to respond on short notice during an Airport emergency, and is required to be on-call 24 hrs. day/7 days a week for emergencies.  Individual will be exposed to outdoor conditions including, but not limited to inclement weather, noise, fumes and chemicals

Skycap: Part-time position (up to 29 hrs. per week) $7.25 plus tips.   Candidate must be people oriented, highly motivated with a positive friendly attitude.  Must be able to lift/push/pull 70lbs. on a continuous basis..Candidate will perform customer service related duties including, but not limited to baggage handling assistance, wheelchair assistance; and shuttle transportation assistance. Skycap is responsible for operating and fueling passenger shuttle van.  Provides snow removal assistance on walkways in front of main terminal, at main entrances, and on parking lot stairways as needed.  Candidate also serves as parking lot attendant upon request.  Must be available to work varied hours including nights, weekends, holidays and must stay late for irregular operations.  Candidate must be able to work in inclement weather, extreme heat and rain and snow.
