Deputy Airport Director- (Full-Time)

SALARY RANGE: $53,000 - $58,000 ANNUALLY (DOQ)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Deputy Airport Director assists the Airport Director with the management of the Tri-State Airport Authority. The individual implements and coordinates safety, security, and other rules and regulations for the Authority and assists the Airport Director with oversight of construction activities. Oversees the daily activities in airport operations (Aircraft Rescue FireFighting – ARFF), police and maintenance departments at the Tri-State Airport.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: managing and leading the Operations, Police and Maintenance Departments. This includes direct oversight of the Fixed Base Operation (FBO). Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with City, County, State, and Federal regulators and mutual aid agencies. Assist the Airport Director with coordination of construction projects. Manage snow removal operations. Ensuring the facility is clean and presentable. Makes sure the Airport is compliant with FAA and TSA regulations and local building and safety codes, and performs office duties such as: record keeping, scheduling, and employee evaluations. Individual must be able to work effectively and communicate tactfully with management, employees, Airport tenants and contractors. Performs other duties as assigned. Acts in place of the Airport Director in his/her absence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The Deputy Airport Director must be detail-oriented and possess leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. Individual must have a good knowledge of airport operations and management. Candidate must be able to provide team leadership, delegate work assignments, and ensure that work gets completed efficiently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a BS Degree in Aviation Administration/Management, or similar. Three years of airport operations and/or airport management experience; two years of professional experience in a supervisory level capacity a plus. Must possess a valid drivers-license and have a clean driving record.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employment is contingent upon completion of a federal 10-year background investigation and/or a background investigation by any law enforcement agency. Employee must maintain appropriate security status. Individual will be required to work during an airport emergency and during snow removal. Must be available and on call 24/7. Individual will be exposed to outdoor conditions including, but not limited to, inclement weather, noise, fumes and chemicals.

CLASS TITLE: Airport Electrician- Full time $14.00/hr

DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT:This position requires strong technical knowledge in the safe troubleshooting, repair,

installation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems on the Airport

including, but not limited to, airfield lighting, navigational aides, HVAC Systems, and

building facilities. Performs work on high-voltage systems (up to 5000 volts). Performs

various skilled and semi-skilled airport maintenance tasks as directed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Individual works on high-voltage lines, changes out transformers for airfield lighting, and

maintains airport navigational aides. Individual also changes relays, points, circuit

boards, breakers, switches, fuses, and brushes. Rebuilds damaged and outdated light

fixtures and performs safety inspections. Individual will assist with mowing and snow

removal operations. Performs various maintenance duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Individual is required to be on-call 24 hrs day/7 days a week for emergencies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must be knowledgable in electrical and mechanical systems. Must have the ability to

comply with FAA Regulations and Airport Rules and Regulations. Must have some

knowledge of circuitry and methods, policies and procedures of ground and building

maintenance. Must be able to use hand tools and ride-on equipment. Must be safety

conscious. Must have the ability to work effectively with management, co-workers and

citizens. Must have the ability to respond with short notice. Individual must have

proficient oral and written communication skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination of training, education and experience equivalent to graduation from

high school or GED. Completion of trade/vocational school training in high voltage

electrical systems. Individual must be licensed or certified to perform the electrical work

described in this job description. Must possess valid and current Electrician License.

Housekeeping/Janitor (Part-time Midnight shift) $9.00/hr

Two Janitorial positions available with HuntingtonTri-State Airport.  Starting pay $9.00 per hour, this is a part-time midnight position.  This position includes the performance of a variety of housekeeping and janitorial assignments. Due to the nature of this job you must have the ability to work independently.  Employment is contingent on completion of federally approved 10 year background investigation and/or investigation by any law enforcement agency.
